Julie Alexander has succeeded in completing her first half ‘Ireman’ in aid of the Joshua Kyle Trust. The event took place on the 21st August in Groomsport, Co Down with a 1.9k open water sea swim in the bay, a 90k cycle and a 21k run. It was a great day for competitors and supporters alike and we hope inspires more competitors next year!!
Previously we have had Jamie@home nights which have been very successful and this one was no exception. Fun and shopping all with Jamie what more could a girl ask for !
It was with great delight that we were able to have the official launch of the Trust at The Old Inn at Crawfordsburn. Over a hundred friends and family joined in a night of fabulous food, great craic and energetic dancing to launch us on our fundraising journey to bring smiles and enhance childrens’ lives.
In 2008/2009 we were Sainsbury’s Holywood Exchange Charity of the Year. Throughout the year various events were held including a wine tasting and it was all hands to the deck to help at the bag pack. Richard and staff finished our year off by completing a 100 mile sponsored walk round various Sainsbury’s stores.
Since starting the Trust we have been indebted to various people who have run, walked and completed the entire marathon in aid of the Trust. Cheer leaders and supporters have always encouraged our various sporting stars across the line.
